bwone.com twitter.com Now that we have the Sony Internet TV Player unboxing out of the way, its now time to do a quick tour around the hardware of the Sony Internet TV Player.... with Google TV of course! Hardware The unit is built with the usually high quality that Sony is known for and its actually a bit heavier that it looks but that's due to the Blu-Ray player that comes with the unit. The casing is made of all plastic that is white with a black top that looks to be a fingerprint and dust magnet. On the front is what you usually see with anything that has a disc player in it with a slot loading disc loader, power button, eject button, connect button to connect the remote and USB port to plug in devices you want to use with the player to watch media. There is nothing on either of the sides on the player but on the back is where are port fun begins with the IR Blaster port, HDMI in, Digital Out Optical, HDMI Out, LAN, fan exhaust, 3 USB ports and DC in jack for your power. Plenty of ports for modern TVs and HDMI only so no component, composite or S-Video available but why would you want that with HD as the main focus here. Internally the unit is powered by an Intel processor and comes with 8GB of storage inside and Built-in Wi-Fi with wireless N for the highest wireless bandwidth for streaming content and of course the hardware is ran but the Google TV Software inside which we will get to in another video post.
