This is also Google's debut of their tablet centric OS Android 3.0. With all the hype and expectations does the Motorola XOOM live up? Hardware & Design From our unboxing & first impressions to now our opinion is still the same on the hardware it is powerful and slick. Using very few button gives it a sleek and minimalistic look. The tablet has some weight to it but its spread out evenly and gives it a solid feel. The dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor makes the device fast and very responsive. The 10.1 screen with 1200 x 800 resolution makes images and video look sharp and clear. You have a 2 megapixel front facing camera and a 5 megapixel rear camera that shoots 720p and we get into more details below when we talk about the camera app. Audio sounded excellent through the headphones however the external speakers were ok but nothing spectacular. The were clear but got a bit distorted if turned up all the way. Battery life is going to run you between 6 - 8 hours doing a bit of everything from gaming, browsing and watching videos. Some disappointing things here are the lack of 4G LTE at launch. With it the price that it currently it should have been available at launch or the tablet should be discounted down for early adopter or even a few few months of 4G service when available but Verizon should do something ...
